WR Soepratman is the creator of Indonesian National Anthem, Indonesia Raya. This museum was inaugurated by Surabaya City Mayor, Mrs. Tri Rismaharini on November 10th,2018. Built in the 20th century, this house was occupied by Wage Rudolf Soepratman after he moved from Pemalang to Surabaya in 1937. WR Soepratman lived with Rokijem, his sister and his family. This house has two main rooms, with a living room, a restroom, and kitchen. This museum exhibits many collections related to WR Soepratman that display at this house, such as the replica of WR Soepratman’s suit and violin, and many photographs.
